Austrian startup Kickscale has secured a €2.1 million Seed funding round to scale its AI-powered sales intelligence platform across Europe and Asia. The round was led by aws Gründungsfonds with backing from AltitudeVC, Calm/Storm Ventures, and Carinthian Venture Fund. Prominent angel investors like Julius Göllner (ex-Zalando Lounge), Michael Kamleitner, and Bitmovin co-founders also participated.
Founded in Carinthia, Kickscale is designed specifically for small and mid-sized European businesses that need a data-secure, multilingual, and locally tuned alternative to US-centric platforms like Gong. Its tools help sales teams better understand customer intent, manage cross-border conversations, and coach remote teams—while saving up to 40 hours a month in admin through AI-powered meeting notes and insights.
Kickscale’s AI platform supports multiple European languages, offers strong GDPR compliance, and reflects regional business norms—features that help it stand apart in a market that often defaults to generic, US-built solutions.
A Sovereign Sales Solution for a Changing Market
With over 100 global customers—including bookingkit, Haufe Group, ApprovalMax, and KK Company in Japan—Kickscale is gaining traction as companies seek tools that match local needs. Users report improved CRM hygiene, better performance forecasting, and higher win rates. Sales teams also appreciate the platform’s offline recording support, a key advantage for field reps who meet clients at trade shows or on-site.
CEO Gerald Zankl explained that Kickscale was born from the realization that Europe needs its own tech champions. “We’re building the revenue intelligence platform that understands European languages, workflows, and values,” he said. “Digital independence matters—and our growth shows there’s real demand for tools that respect regional identity and privacy.”
Launched in 2020 and self-funded in its early days, Kickscale pivoted in 2024 to focus on sales intelligence. The team includes co-founders with deep roots in high-growth European startups like Bitmovin, Holo-Light, and Anyline. With the new funding, Kickscale plans to grow its headcount, expand across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and deepen integrations with platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
As the EU’s new AI Act reshapes the standards for responsible and compliant AI, Kickscale is positioning itself as a flagbearer for Europe’s digital sovereignty. Its rise signals a broader shift—toward regional solutions that don’t just compete globally but lead with local strength.
